Julie Kelly is one of the most acclaimed vocalists on the West Coast jazz scene. She just released her ninth album, FREEDOM JAZZ DANCE, an eclectic collection of 11 lesser done tunes. The late, respected jazz critic Leonard Feather once said, "Julie Kelly radiates a sense of joy and spontaneity."

About the event
Jazz vocalist/guitarist and composer Julie Kelly moved to Los Angeles in 1980 from the San Francisco Bay Area and shortly after that began her recording career with Pausa Records. From 1984 to 1999, Kelly collaborated on various recordings with the likes of pianist/arranger Tom Garvin and Bill Cunliffe.
During her years in Los Angeles Julie has worked with such luminaries as Benny Green, Nat Adderley, Ray Brown, John Clayton, Ross Tompkins, Bobby Ojeda, Gary Foster, and Alan Broadbent. Ms Kelly can be found in Leonard Feather's Encyclopedia of Jazz.
With nine albums under her belt, prepare to be "wowed" by her versatility and attention to detail as she takes you on a journey through space and time with her twist on the standards, bossa as well as, some original tunes.
