About the event
Jazz saxophonist and composer Dennis Mitcheltree has released his eighth album, with pianist Johannes Wallmann on Sifting Paradigm Records. A longtime tenor saxophonist based in New York City before moving to Los Angeles, Mitcheltree blends traditional jazz roots with a modern voice.
Joined by John A. Graves on bass and Marc Van Aken on drums, Dennis leads a cohesive trio sound marked by fluid interplay, understated precision, and vivid expression. If sound could be seen, their music would resemble one confident brushstroke across a canvas: deliberate, and unmistakably alive.
